Terms of Service

Last updated: October 25, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website, njplaybook.com (NJ Small Business Playbook), including its directory and guides, provided by Halal Helper LLC, doing business as Omerica Studios ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Clifton, New Jersey (the "Services"). These Terms do not cover other websites, including other Omerica Studios sites and the sites our listings link to. By clicking "I agree and continue" on the notice shown on your first visit, or by using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Who may use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. The Services are not for anyone under 18. The Services are offered for business and entrepreneurial purposes, for adults who run or plan to start a business.

2. Nature of the Services

Information on the Services is general and is not legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice.

3. Use of AI

Parts of the Services were drafted with AI assistance. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and must be reviewed before you rely on them. They are not professional advice of any kind. The listings and guides are drafted with AI assistance and checked with AI tools that we direct. We have not hand-read every listing. There is no AI chat. See our AI Use Disclosure, which forms part of these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by: breaking the law; infringing anyone's rights; uploading malware; attempting unauthorized access; scraping or overloading the Services; or using them to harass or harm others.

5. Your content and feedback

You keep ownership of anything you send us, such as emails. You give us permission to use it to operate and improve the Services and to respond to you. If you send feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you. Do not submit confidential or sensitive information.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms or misuses the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 8 and 11 through 16) survive termination.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and AI Use Disclosure, which explain what we collect and how we use AI.

8. Our intellectual property

The Services, and the software, text, and designs we provide (excluding your own content), belong to us or our licensors to the extent the law protects them. Facts, program details, and government source material are not ours. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Services for their intended purpose.

Copyright concerns. If you believe something on the Services copies your work without permission, email omer@halalhelper.com with the subject "Copyright notice". Tell us what work you own, where the copy appears, and how to reach you. We will review it and remove or change material that infringes.

9. Third-party links and services

The Services may link to or embed websites and tools we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and your use of them is governed by their terms.

10. Accuracy and availability

We aim to keep information current, but details such as pricing, availability, and hours can change without notice. On NJ Small Business Playbook, listings and guides are drafted with AI assistance and checked with AI tools that we direct. They can be wrong or out of date. Confirm details with the official source before you rely on them. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that outputs will be accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

Except as stated in the next paragraph, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100.

This section does not limit our liability for fraud, for intentional or reckless misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. It does not limit any attorneys' fees and costs that a court awards you under a law. It also does not limit any other liability that New Jersey law does not allow us to limit. These exceptions apply wherever you live.

13. Indemnification

If someone else makes a claim against us because you broke these Terms or the law, or because of content you sent us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim. This does not apply to a claim caused by our own negligence or misconduct, and it does not apply to any dispute between you and us.

14. Dispute resolution; arbitration and class-action waiver

Talk to us first. Most problems are solved quickly — email omer@halalhelper.com and give us 30 days to resolve it.

If we cannot, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its rules in effect when the arbitration begins, including its Consumer Arbitration Minimum Standards where they apply, seated in New Jersey or conducted remotely, rather than in court. Either party may still bring an individual claim in small-claims court.

You and we waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. This means that, except in small-claims court, you and we each give up the right to have a dispute decided by a judge or jury in court; an arbitrator decides it instead, and court review of an arbitration award is limited.

30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration section by emailing omer@halalhelper.com with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

15. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to section 14, the state and federal courts located in New Jersey have exclusive jurisdiction.

16. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes take effect when posted with a new "Last updated" date; continued use means you accept them. A change does not apply to a dispute that started before the change was posted. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the AI Use Disclosure, and the Disclaimer are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
