Disclaimer
This is the full disclaimer for NJ Small Business Playbook (njplaybook.com), published by Halal Helper LLC, doing business as Omerica Studios, Clifton, New Jersey. The short notice at the bottom of every page links here. It applies to the directory and the guides.
Informational only
Everything on this site is general information. It is not legal, tax, financial, investment, real estate, or business advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a professional who knows your situation. Reading this site or emailing us does not create an attorney-client, accountant-client, advisory, or any other professional relationship. Before you make a decision that depends on the law, taxes, money, property, or your business, consult a qualified professional.
Not a government site
NJ Small Business Playbook is run by a private company, Halal Helper LLC (DBA Omerica Studios). It is not a government website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), or any other agency, university, bank, lender, nonprofit, or program operator named on the site. This does not apply to Omerica Studios, which is the publisher's own company, or to the NJ Small Business Gems Discord, which the publisher started and runs. Both are labeled on the site. Program names, agency names, and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here only to identify the programs being described. You apply to a program on that program's own website or office, not here.
Accuracy and AI drafting
Listing summaries and guides are drafted with AI assistance from the official pages they link to. They are compared with those pages using AI tools that the publisher directs, on the date shown as 'Source checked' on a listing or 'Last checked' on a guide. Not every listing has been hand-read by a person (see the AI Use Disclosure). They can still be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Eligibility rules, deadlines, award amounts, fees, and regulations change without notice, and a program can close or change between checks. That date is not a promise that the listing is current today. Verify with the official source before you apply, sign, or pay. We make no guarantee that you are eligible for any program, that you will receive funding, approval, certification, or any other outcome, or that a program is still open.
Language and translation
This site is in English only. If you use a browser tool to translate a page, the translation may be wrong, especially for legal terms, dates, and dollar amounts. Check the official program page before you act, and ask the program whether it offers help in your language. Under New Jersey's Language Access Law, state agencies that serve the public must offer interpreters and translate key documents into at least seven languages.
Relationships
There are no paid placements, sponsored listings, or affiliate links on this site, and nobody has paid to appear in a listing. Omerica Studios and the NJ Small Business Gems Discord are the publisher's own, and their listings say so. Where the publisher has a relationship with a listed person or business, that relationship is stated on the listing. The Omerica Studios listings, including its three free tools, are not independent recommendations. See relationships and paid placement.
Third-party sites and links
Listings link to websites run by other organizations. We do not control those sites, their content, their forms, or how they handle your information. Their own terms of use and privacy policies apply once you leave this site. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for what happens on a third-party site, including applications you submit, payments you make, or agreements you enter there.
Grant scams
This site does not give out grants or loans, and it never charges a fee. We will not contact you out of the blue to offer funding. We will never ask for a payment, bank details, or your Social Security number. Anyone who does this in our name is running a scam. See the scam warning for how to report it.
Liability
Your use of this site is governed by the Terms of Service, including its disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability. Read that document for the full terms.
Corrections and contact
If something on this site is wrong or out of date, email omer@halalhelper.com with the listing name and what should change. If you represent a listed program or business and want your listing changed or removed, say so. We aim to respond to corrections and listing requests within seven days; privacy requests follow the 45-day timeline in the Privacy Policy.
